This time it was an interview with Keith Hunt MBE who started and exponentially grew the complementary health service at The Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead. CPD undertaken with Dr Trevor Wing and became an Associate of The Women's Natural Healthcare Practice.

I was taught by many excellent teachers including Roy Chan in massage therapy and the Chinese medicine teacher, Melanie Forse, who helped and advised on my application to study Chinese Medicine at degree level. I graduated with distinction and entitled to use APDHA; Asia-Pacific Diploma in Holistic Aromatherapy.

1998: Studied my first initial aromatherapy reflex course with Mandy Adams of Resonance Aromatherapy in Hong Kong

I was born with a dislocated hip and had several stints in hospital as a baby in a splint and then as a teenager where one of the operations went wrong and I was left with a reduced leg length on one side. I have my own experiences of a chronic disorder and researching different ways of dealing with the pain and management of a shortened femur other than with pain killers and then anti-depressants to rectify the side-effects of long-term medication. I am sure this has informed my career pathway and I have empathy for those who also suffer long-term chronic physical disorders where no ultimate solution is feasible and management strategies are required for long-term health and wellbeing.

Please see my health coaching website for intensive 1-to-1 programmes where I work together with the individual for sustainable transformation of lifestyle and habits that can improve life quality in chronic disease or for optimising health and wellbeing.
